Hello Margie

What I understand from your question is that you have set up custom subdomains with your provider "Crazy Domains" that you wish to point to your Yola website, is that correct?

If you'd like to point custom subdomains to Yola, please send us this request via our Support Contact Form because one of our engineers will need to do this for you. Please also let us know for which website you'd like to have it set up.

Hi Margie,

What do you wish to do with each of these domains?

Can you tell us specifically?

Do you wish that if anyone types in one of these above domains it automatically directs to your skinnytea.com.au web-site or do you wish to publish different sites to each of these domains?

I would like to use each of these as subdomains and redirect the traffic to the Skinnytea website. I gather that this is standard practice. Is this possible with Yola. Cheers Margie

OK

Please see the tutorial: Assigning domains and creating a primary domain

Basically you publish your skinnytea.com.au to each of these other domains and then set the other domain(s) as a secondary domain.

You will need to do this with each of your pointed domains. I don't know if you can do it with this many secondary domains but you can try and post back here.

Hello Margie

Thank you for your reply. So what I can see from the list of your domains is that these are regular custom domains and not custom subdomains. This means that you can point and assign them yourself without technical assistance from us.

So if you have pointed them all correctly in your Crazy Domains account, it will take up to 48 hours to be effective. When this time is over, can you please navigate to a few of these domains and see if you get a Yola page which tells you that your domain is pointing to us?

The next step would be what Gop suggested in his last post: You will need to assign your domains to your website manually from your My Yola dashboard. Just follow the instructions of the tutorial for which Gop posted the link above, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

HI guys hate to sound like a pain but I have pointed the domains 7 days ago and have read and followed the steps in the tutorial and gone in and tried to do them all manually. Yola keeps saying that the domains are not pointed. I have contacted Crazy and they say that it should be working. Not sure what to do next. Cheers Margie

Hi Margie,

Sorry Margie, but they're definitely not pointed to Yola's servers. They are still at Crazy Domains and the www is directing to another domain: Both the www and the non-www. Here's a report on spicetoflavour.com.au as example

Hello Margie

I'm afraid that I can confirm what Gop has posted above. I've checked your first 3 domains greenteas.net.au, greenteasbenefits.com, and spicetoflavour.net, and they do not have the right IP address. You can check this yourself using e.g. kloth.net. Type your domain names into the domain field and press "Look it up", and you will see IP addresses different from ours – ours is 184.72.229.176.

Can you please contact your host again and ask them for assistance? Keep us updated!

Hi Guys thanks for being so patient. I have gone away and looked at the ip address and you are right. I should of checked this myself instead of relying on my domain provider. I really appreciate your help, Another lesson learnt. I will upload it and give it a few days and chill out. Hope you all have a great day and weekend if you are not working. Raining in Sydney Australia. Thanks for your quick and patient response. Cheers Margi
