Hello, I have recently re-made my site using Yola, but my old site pages are still found on Google searches. They give a 404 error. My new site is at www.grantacoaching.com (same URL, same hosters), points to my Yola site. However, Google brings up an old page at www.grantacoaching.com/contact.html.php (which gives a 404) - is there any way to create a redirect on that page so as to direct to the correct page? I can't actually make a page that is at www.grantacoaching.com/contact.html.php - I can only create a page that is www.grantacoaching.com/contact.php - or does someone know how I can create that page?

Hello Andrew,

It is not possible to create 404 pages. I'm sorry. The next time that Google crawls your site, the information will be updated.

What you can do is resubmit your sitemap to Google as this may get the spiders to your site sooner, but it is not a guarantee. Here is a link to our Google Webmaster Tutorial, step two has the instructions for submitting a sitemap: Google Webmaster Tutorial.
