Registration form

I have loaded a registration form on my website www.wprugbykidz.com, but when i submit the form, i don't receive the completed form via the e-mail address that i used. Can you please send your reply to louisk@sarugby.co.za.

Hi Louis,

Sometimes SPAM filters can be aggressive with form submissions. With your permission I'd like to access your account and do some testing with alternate email addresses to ensure it's not an issue with our form. Please let me know if that's ok with you.

We have the same problem here since two days now. None of our forms using Yola works (actually it seem to work sporadically but today, it doesn't work at all after several attemps).

I have already change the sending email address several time and it's not working. So it has to be on your side.

Have you been checking this out since the OP have signal the problem to you?

I made a lot of test, and it's not related to emails, but definitely from Yola.

Some form requests are just never sent to the specified email address and the ones that do are received several hours later (it used to be very fast, a matter of a minute max).

I hope we will have news soon about a correction to this bug.

Hi flcorbin,

We never heard back from Louis to test his specific complaint from his Sitebuilder but we did test within our accounts and were unable to replicate the problem leading us to believe that messages were being routed to a SPAM filter. Can you tell us the email extensions you are using in your form? For example, is it a custom domain, Yahoo, or Google account? We will absolutely investigate further and would love your help in replicating the problem in order to do so.

I used a @yahoo.ca account, a @hotmail.com account and my company domain too with no success. I check all the spam folder too. I also check the spam filters.

It always give the same result which is the form email is either never received or it come really late. Actually I just received my first try I made at 14h (3h late). Receiving them late is not much of an issue but never receiving them truly is though.

Hi flcorbin,

We have done further testing and a 10 minute delay in receiving forms is the most we've been able to reproduce using Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and custom domain email extensions. With your permission we'd like to do some testing within your Sitebuilder account. Can you please reply with your permission to access your account as well as the page URL of the affected form(s)?

I made all the test at around 14h00-14h20 today and here the results:

One form received at 15h54, another at 17h06, another at 17h53 and a last one (for now) at 18h55.

BTW, i just send 10 form request with numbers to checkout if first, we do received them and in which order. For now, we only received my 3rd attempt (almost instantly) but not the 1st, not the 2nd, which should have arrived first in the mailbox.

Anyway, I will let you check this out. I hope you will find something.

Just an update: We received the message number 8, then an old message sent this afternoon.

So Message, 1,2,4,5,6,7,9 and 10 were never received as of this writing.

So again, clearly, the message order is not retain (which is not that problematic) but, some message seems to be missing. I'll be able to confirm this tomorrow morning I guess if none of these message are received in the mail box from the form.

Another update:

Here's the result of my test made yesterday:

Finally, we did received all the forms, but in this order: 3,8,5,1,6,7,2,4,9,10

But, we received the first one (3) just a few minute after sending the form (which is normal), but we received all the other between 10hPM and 11hPM EST (so again, 3 to 4h after the forms being sent out).

During that periode (between 10hPM and 11hPM EST) we also received a lot of form we tried to sent during the day.

So, I think that there is no form that are dropped, but they still come in late in the mailbox even thought the mailbox is not the problem since we double checked it by sending email to it from differents sources.

Thanks for all the updates. Based on your testing I didn't want to change the email in your form for our testing and risk interfering with your tests. We're glad to hear that you did eventually receive all of your forms but we are sorry to hear some were delayed. We have been unable to replicate more than a 10 minute delay in our testing nor do we see any delays indicated in our logs. It's possible it could be happening at the email level which is out of our control.

It seem to be back to normal now. I don't know what caused it but now it's all ok.

Hopefully, it won't happen again.

I am facing the same problem again. Please can you assist. I have upgraded to Gold Status and when i ask for assistance it is telling me that i have to upgrade. Please help because my members are getting frustrated. Please can you help?

Hello Louis

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with the Yola Form Widget again. Do I have your permission to do some tests in your account directly? This would include to temporarily change your form e-mail, re-arrange widgets, and republish. I'd do this on a test page. Please let me know if you'd like me to go ahead.
