Remote Assistance

Hi Yola,

OK - it's not actually remote assistance but thats the best title i could think of to get across the idea.

What i think would be a cool idea is that if certain staff and champs had the oppertunity to be allowed access to a users site (with their permission of course).

There are numerous occasions where the only way to fix a forum users issue is to log in to their account and edit the site yourself.

You could try to explain in words - but for example removing MS formatting... the thread would be about a mile long and your still running the risk of them deleting something they should'nt.

At the moment you have to say "well i could log in for you and fix it, send me your log in details" - it sounds unproffesional.

It would be great if it was an available option Yola side - maybe the user could read a liabilty statement then click a link to accept remote support / account access. Maybe we could be given a tempoary password.

Maybe i'm just dreaming... but it would be good.

It's the future of Yola support :)

Hey Lee,

You Champs are so helpful... and here you are wanting to implement a feature that would allow you to be more helpful :)

I am not sure if something like that would ever be possible, but I will surely let our team know it has been suggested and it will be considered for the future.

Thanks again!

Great idea Lee. MS word formatting is a good example of when it would be useful. It's hard to help someone on the forum when you tell them they should remove the ms word on your site, they say they did, when they obviously didn't, and continue to say it's a problem with Yola!
