Hello George,

You can create an "internal stylesheet" by adding this code Into an HTML widget on your page:

<style type="text/css">

#sys_banner {
background-image: none;
height: 308px;
left: 22px;
margin: 0 auto;
padding: 0;
position: absolute;
top: 20px;
width: 912px;
}

div.ys_banner_wrap {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
height: 346px;
margin: -10px auto 0;
padding: 0;
position: relative;
width: 956px;
}

div#sys_background {
background-attachment: scroll;
background-color: #999999;
background-image: none;
background-position: center top;
background-repeat: repeat-x;
height: 400px;
position: relative;
width: 100%;
}
</style>

This will remove the banner image, the shadow surrounding the banner image and the background and leaves the space empty with the default Style background colour.

You can change the default colour of the background style if needed and if you wish to use the area where the banner was for something else then it may be easy to eliminate the "reserved space" so that it becomes part of the workable canvas. If you would like some assistance with this let me know.
