Hi Donald,

Since we no longer offer synthasite subdomains, if you unpublish your site, you will lose the 'synthasite'.

One suggestion I do have is that you make your synthasite subdomain your primary domain. This way, you will not lose your synthasite subdomain, and when your custom domain expires, you will not need to worry about your site going to an 'offline' state.

will this work if Instead of waiting til the domain "expires" I transfer nameservers since I wish to use this domain for another host while keeping my yola site at the synthasite domain.!?

Hello Donald

That will work as well! For more info about how to go about doing this, please read up on this here: Changing the nameservers.

yea, I looked in the advanced settings on my site in yola, and easily found that I can change the primary domain to my synthasite domain, then remove my custom domain. The site's too large with a few hundred pages for me to want to redo the entire thing as well as the good google indexing I have. So where I'm trying to make the site into server-side scripting, I'm going to keep my synthasite domain, create all the pages that already exist in google on my other host, and for those pages create a meta refresh to the synthasite domain. Although my server side scripting won't work once sent to synthasite domain.

Hi Donald

It sounds as if you have a solution that might work. I understand that you will want to keep the good Google ranking you have established with your synthasite domain.

yes, it's kind of amazing, if you search something that has millions of search results and a lot of people searching monthly such as "anatomy" or "human anatomy" I think are two of them. I appear like on #37 or something. Often (about 4 times a year) one of my images in particular, when searched "anatomy" in images.google.com it comes up as the 7th or so result. My ONE page - out of 140 pages I have, got 1717 visitors last month alone... practically the only page that gets me income from AdSense lmao, however, not sure you would consider $84 in 3 years an income. I have YET to receive a check from Google lol.
