Thank you for your interest in becoming a Yola champ. The best thing you can do if you want to do this is:
Learn to know Yola's Sitebuilder really well by working hard on your own sites.
Participate in Get Satisfaction by answering questions people have. Based on how good your answers are and how many people you help, we may decide to make you a Yola champ.
This is the process we use for all the people that we award champ status to, or hire to work for Yola, so if it is something that interests you there is no reason why you can't get started right away!

There isn't a minimum number of tickets you have to answer or a particular task you have to do to become a champ. If you are consistently assisting users and give great help then we will consider you (or anyone else for that matter) for Champ-hood (if that is even a word :) )
I hope this helps.

The inclusion of the link to yola in the footer is part of the terms of service you agree when you sign up.
We do not place banner ads on your site, or charge you for our service. However, we do want people to know about our service and this discreet link in the footer is all we ask of you in return for the opportunity to build and publish a site for free.
We hope you can understand our position on this.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

I'm not going to tell you exactly how to do it, but it is possible -
learn a little bit about CSS and you can white out the links - does mean that you have to make all other links show up by adding a colour <a style ...
I think if you pay you should get this removed - i dont like this yola policy which is why im telling you this - if you havnt paid anything you should leave it on - credit where credits due - if you dont your just an ungratefully freeloader.

I can understand your frustration with this, but what you have actually paid for (if you have paid any money) is a domain name, not to use the site builder; the site builder itself is completely free and will remain that way.
The site builder is an intense application that takes many people many hours to build, maintain and support. So yes, there may be a way to do this by what you have said, but it is against our Terms of Use and we hope you can understand our position on this and continue to respect it.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

While we do not have the option to remove the footer at this time, we understand the importance of making this choice available. We are working on the legal and technical requirements to add the removal of the footer for a small fee in an upcoming release.
We look forward to this and other improvements of our service

But then again, one of the most popular "free" site builders, webs (formly known as freewebs) does allow you to place your own footer. But saying that, they put an ad in your site (if you dont pay anything), which is way worst then having a small link in the footer.
So basically, every site builder out there has some sort of thing, that people dislike. There are no free site builders, which give you the opportunity to do whatever you want. They all have some sort of thing that people just hate. Some free site builders; have a limit on space, or bandwidth, some place ads and for yola, im guessing its the footer.

Yes.. it's true that you could get a cheaper domain elsewhere. If you take in consideration that we offer free site building and hosting, unlimited bandwidth, an abundance of storage spae and first class support, we'd like to think that this is a pretty good deal! :)

Yola, as a site builder is missing two major things that most other site builders have. First, it's not really editable and second its missing lots of features that other site builder have.
Saying that, just because other site builders have these stuff, doesnt mean its great. Most site builders that offer these features, usually place an annoying ad in your site, and limit you bandwidth.

By the looks of it, most good features that are going to be released will cost you money.

Did you read the post above from Monique?
You can now remove the footer in 2 ways - 1 is to pay $9.95 or you could go pro and you also (as well as the footer removal) get loads of other goodies - http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...

To be honest I'd probably put a small link in myself there if there already wasn't one.
