Hi, I received a letter from the Domain Registry and they want me to renew my domain mamadscafe.com. Should I go ahead and do that or can I renew it directly from the yola.com site? The domain will expire jan,2013. Thank you!
Please be wary of requests for domain renewal. Check the email sent from address and make sure it is familiar to you.
if you purchased your domain from Yola then you can only renew it with Yola and similarly if it was directly from another registrar then renew it with them.
There are some fraudulent email renewal requests coming through and they will simply take your money.
If you wish to subsequently transfer your domain to Yola then this will guarantee that Yola will handle registrations and renewals. You must not, however, transfer your domain within 30 days prior to renewal because this can really throw the system out.
