Reovering Domain name (redemption period)

Hello, I made a mistake when renewing our subscription for our website. when I discovered the mistake, I immeditately renewed through yola. Now our website is no longer showing up when we put the address in. I've tried emailing someone there and have not heard anything yet so I've contacted and they informed me that our domain name is in a redemption period and should still be able to recover it, but need to contact you. Please help! Our Yola account shows that we are currently published to the web, but nothing comes up in the actual web.

Hi Matthew,

I am sorry to hear that this has happened, however unfortunately it is no longer possible for us to renew your domain. We only have a 30 day period in which we can save the domain once it has expired.

It has gone into the redemption period at the registrar, and it will only be available again when it is ready for resale.

Your only option at this stage is to wait for the domain to be released and then repurchase it. To do this, you will first need to unpublish your site by following the steps on this link: How to unpublish your site.

I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you.

Did you receive the renewal reminders for your domain? These are sent from 3 months before your domain is due to expire as we know that the redemption period can cause frustration for domain owners.
