The message "To get started click a widget on the right side of the screen..." appears twice on the RHS of my index edit page, this is interfering with the formatting of the index page when I view it in the browser. I can't seem to remove the message.
I think I was able to fix this issue. When I checked your account and went to your index page in Sitebuilder, I realized that the Text Widgets were not showing up niceley with their frames inside your page. The index defaulted to a 3 coloumn layout even when I changed this to a one coloumn layout (which you have throughout your other pages).
When I had a look at the HTML code of your Text Widgets, I finally identified the problem: You must have copied/pasted text from MS Word directly into the Text Widget, is that correct? We do not recommend to do this as it could break your whole website and make it even inaccesible, so that you would finally have to delete and rebuild it. Text from Word or other sources usually comes with formatting which is not webfriendly, so it can confuse the code of your whole website.
PS: I have created a duplicate of your original index page just in case I deleted something on your index page by mistake. The name of the page is "index-backup", it is not in your navigation menu, and if you don't need it any more, you can delete it.
