Hello
After several attempts we have not been able to get google email working. I would like to point my domain at another web hosting provider. Can you add the following name servers for me please and remove the google ones. I have looked at the help for this and it suggests I should leave this to you guys to update.

ns1.quksdns13.net - 82.147.19.70
ns2.quksdns13.net - 82.147.19.71

The web hosting service is 5quidhosting. Please let me know if you require any further information.

Regards
Belinda

Hello Belinda,

What is your domain so that this may be attempted?

Hello

I think I may have phrased my question incorrectly.

I think what I should be asking is I still want my domain www.jellit.co.uk to stay with Yola but I need my name servers to point to the following instead of the Yola name servers? Does this make sense.

The reason for the change is with your help I have made several attempts to set up my services using google but it doesn't work.

ns1.quksdns13.net - 82.147.19.70
ns2.quksdns13.net - 82.147.19.71

Thanks
Belinda

Hello Belinda,

If you domain is already hosted with Yola, you need to click on the Domains tab in your My Yola. Then you click on the domain name and then Advanced.

You should only attempt this if you know what you are doing. You can quite easily mess up so tread carefully!

You then click on the Nameservers tag. Then type in the new nameservers and click Save. These changes can take upto 48 hours to propagate to the web. But most of the time they are a lot quicker.

I hope you understand, make sure that you understand fully before proceeding as you could make a mistake. If you are not sure then just ask!

Kind Regards,

Andi

Hi Belinda,

Yola provides you with full DNS management and you can absolutely change the nameservers. Andi has provided you with the steps, and you can also check our tutorial: Changing the name servers.

Hi William,

GA is a great system with good tools. It's used extensively by Yola customers but the reality of it is that the setup for many is very intimidating and confusing. It's all to do with language and terminology. It is getting better and I see that Yola are looking at a customised streamlined setup in the near future. That will certainly benefit new users and I would think a real boost to GA Yola based customer numbers.
