Well hello Yola! :)

Back again to listen to you guys request like crazy. Not only do I want you request this time. I would also like you guys to share a script if you know how to use any of the following: JavaScript, PHP, ruby, c, c++, Perl, or Python. The script can be anything, just remember to explain what is does so I can test it out.

--------

Oh sorry, for you who don't know me, i'm Shawn. A 14 year old JavaScript developer learning more everyday from just scripting the stuff you guys request. I usually do a request every Month to help people who may not be as experienced in scripting or programming. I like helping others with web development and that's one reason I like to do these requests. About 2 years ago I started using Yola. Yola got me interested in Web Development and helped me find my future job. I am hoping I can work with Yola in the future to work as an engineer there. About 6 1/2 month ago I stopped using Yola (not completely) because I decided that I need to make my sites myself with custom coding and templates. Yola is great though, it helps you out with the styling and the layouts of the website because it has that easy drag and drop interface. Yola has it's pros and cons but what site doesn't?

Welcome to Code Requests.

*The request must be able to be coded in JavaScript or PHP.*

ALSO,

If you need help installing the code after the explanation of how to install it I would install it for you. Only if you trust me.

I will do the scripting once you add the following to the top of your homepage using the HTML widget:

<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Ok you can delete that code now since Im about to give it to you again.

Put this code in the Site Tracking code section of your site:

<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$('#footer_navigation').css('width','613px');
var footer = Math.floor(((screen.width/2)-($('#footer_navigation').width()/2))-$('#footer_navigation').offset().left);
$('#footer_navigation').css('margin-left',footer);
</script>

With Math I usually fix a lot of positioning issues I have with css. The formula i used makes sure it looks the same on every screen:

((screenWidth/2)-(footerWidth/2))-FooterOffsetLeft;

Hi,

I was referred to you by a Yola Employee when I asked a question on the forum.
I was told that you would be able to help me and was given the link to this page, so I hope that you can help me :)

My original question was:

Hello,

I am trying to get a category selector for my website, with the final category you choose sending you to a webpage, but I would like it to be in a smooth format like the eBay one: http://goo.gl/tz7mf

Can someone please tell me how to do this or give me the HTML code to do this. If this cannot be done then can you please put this up as an Idea and possibly implement it into the site builder?

-

Can you please help me with this by giving me the HTML code for this so I can implement it into my website?

Thank you,

Scott
