Okay well I have some images and/or ones that I will download but the thing is getting them to work on my site ( poogeymanzandmusic.yolasite.com ) I love the great features that come with Yola but there is the option to edit backgrounds on some styles.
I have used online image resizers but they just stretch the whole thing to match and I would like to know how to resize an image on say just the width.
Any comments will help.
Thanks Rangi.

Hello Rangi,

It is possible to resize your pictures in two ways:

* After adding the picture to your page, click on it and drag the red resize handle to enlarge or shrink your picture.

OR

* Use our integrated Picnik option; a powerful online image manipulation editing service.

Here's how to use Picnik:

1. On the picture that you wish to edit, click on "Edit" on the top-left corner of your Picture Widget. A dialog box will open up. Click on the "Edit With Picnik" button and you will go through to the photo editing site, Picnik.com.

OR

Click on the "File Manager" button. Click on the picture you wish to edit and then on the "Edit Picture" button at the top. This will also take you through to the photo editing site.

* Picnik may take a while to load but it's worth the wait!

2. Once Picnik is open, use their picture editing tools to adjust your image. One of the options available is "resize". Enter your new dimensions. You can aslo have it that your image aspect isn't locked so you can just alter the width.

3. When you've finished editing your picture in Picnik, click on "OK".

4. Then click on the "Save to Yola" button and this will replace your original image in your File Manager.

Please note: If you have edited your picture through the Picture Widget, the picture on your page will also be updated with the new changes. However, if you have gone through the File Manager, you will need to re-add your newly edited picture to your page.

I hope this helps.

Using a image resizing plugin application, you just need to set the target image parameter, then run the component, you can get the best fit resized image.
