OK I have looked around and found nothing and sadly FeedCreator's website is down, I am trying to limit the number that is returned from the blog feed, I just need to return 3 other services I seen let you add a limit action on the end can you tell me what it is for yola please, this is important for my site, thanks for your help.

I have looked at many of your tuts and I find it kind of sickening how stupid you make them, make them detailed or add a option to view a more detailed come on yola you really need to try harder.

Hello Mr Black,

The tutorials have been written to give a very immediate instruction on overview and how to do something from the beginning. They really are relevant to the Yola setup and very easy to follow.

I think there will always be exceptions and this is where their customer support services come into helping with these.

The blog feed sends an initial but limited burst of posts on subscription, I think it is about ten posts(?). After that the feed will send out each post as it is published. If you use a secondary service to manage your blog subscriptions etc., then this can modify the Yola defaults to an extent and depends on the service. I am not aware of being able to limit the Yola feed to specific number within the Yola blog set.

Well thats stupid really, this means writing a bloody function I just don't have time for, sad really I need it 3 via one place but default in others, I don't have the net or time to write this function but or well sadly Yola is just not living up to a good serivce as I thought, for a around £10 more compaired to there Silver version I could have full controll over everything I needed, I will have to deal with it as the topic of mysite and problems with money a GBBO was the only way to go, if anyone knows a nice service that returns rss feeds that can be limited in xml not a list I be greatfull thanks all.

Hi Mr Black

I hope that I can help. If I am understanding you correctly, you would like to have a RSS feed that allows you to be able to control the number of blog posts that you see on your blog.

If this is what you would like to do, then I can suggest you try FeedWind. It allows you to create a widget for your webpage or blog and customise it to suit your website's colours and formats.

You will then be able to add the code to your blog page, using the HTML Widget.

Does that help? If not, please explain what you would like to do or give an example of a site that has the function you would like to have.

Thank you
Nazlie

Thanks for your replyu Nazlie, I was going to make a updater that included the last 3 blogs via windows and android, I was hoping to do this with the RSS as since sadly I don't have php or db access I can't right my own API to return these parts, I just needed to limit what it returned via a call to the RSS, I will give that site a look and see what options they offer and if no luck I will have to sit down when I have my own connection right now I am moving and well if you follow or view my site you see I am not very well so sadly its hard for me to get sorted.

Thanks anyway and if you do know of away to doing this I love to hear it.

Hello Mr Black

I hadn't seen your website, but I am sorry to hear that you are not well. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

Unfortunately it is not possible to scripting languages like PHP on Yola. I would suggest that you try the FeedWind widget I mentioned previously to see if that will work.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Sadly I don't want to show this in a html format and all the widgets do this I need to return this in another system, Android and windows Native programs, its ok sadly I will have to write my own handle for this but it will be after xmas, thanks for your help anyway and thanks for the kind words.

I will keep my eye out for any service that can do this later also.
