Yola Boost published my home address, no logo, and incorrectly listed my business as "discount store." It also published incorrect contact information. Please help! Why is it doing this? How am I able to edit this incorrect information? This is extremely detrimental to the online reputation of my company. It is also a safety issue. Thanks.

Hello Natasha

I've checked your Yola account and the information you have added to your Local Boost. I saw that you didn't really enter a complete address to your "Basic Information" section, so I wonder how a directory could have your home address if you haven't provided it? Did you once enter your home address and different contact details, and then edit it again? Updates will take some time to take effect.

In which directory is your home address displayed? With Yelp? Can you maybe provide a screenshot of this listing? Did you sign up with this directory before you started using Local Boost?

Local Boost offers a wide range of categories. Which category did you select during the initial set-up? The option to change the category afterwards is not available yet and will be added later.

You can always edit your information on your My Yola dashboard under the "Local Boost" tab in the left-hand side menu. Just click on the "Update" links to change your information.

The reason why your logo is not displayed is probably because you provided your Yola home page URL as the logo URL. Your logo is an image which is stored in your Yola File Manager, and its URL looks similar to this:
http://mysite.com/resources/mylogo.jpg
Replace "mysite.com" and "mylogo.jpg" by your individual information, if your image format is different from .jpg, you must change this as well. Enter your URL into the field for the logo URL under "Additional Business Information".

Hi Stefan,

I changed the logo URL like you suggested; hopefully it works. Thank you. I signed up with Yola roughly 3 months ago with my home address. Since then I removed it so it would not show on the Internet. I was surprised to see Yola Boost placing it on Yelp. Also none of my other information is published, for example the types of services offered, products offered, hours, credit cards accepted, etc. I am very worried about having my home address listed online. Is it possible to put a hold on my Yola Boost until we can troubleshoot this? I am concerned that it will continue listing incorrect information in more directories and it is too big of risk to have my business misrepresented as it is now on one of the largest directories. Despite having entered the type of business I have, it is listed as a Discount Store which it is not. Updating fields through Yola Boost does not change or impact the listing at all. Never at any time did I register my business as a discount store. I am also concerned Yelp won't remove it.

Hi Natasha,

We are looking into this for you. We can cancel your Local Boost subscription if that's what you want but it won't have an immediate effect on the current listings. Rather updating your information and keeping it active will actively resubmit your updated information on a monthly basis. I suspect that you entered your home address because you do not have a physical address for your business, is that accurate? We can look into how better to communicate what the requested information is intended for during the initial set up. We welcome your feedback.
