Can you take a screen shot of a particular section of the screen or do you have to take a screen shot of the whole screen and then crop it down to size?

If you do a prt scrn you will get the whole screen. You maybe able to slect an area with a graphics utility. The other thing is to download a screen capture utility and if you're using Firefox I think there's one that's made as a plugin?

i use another one called MWSnap (v3.0).

a few options there.

If you have Windows Vista.. it has a really cool feature called "snipping tool" which is found in your accessories folder under Program. It allows you to "snip" whatever you want. You just drag the box around whatever it is you want to capture and it's saved onto your desktop or a folder you've designated. It's really really great!

Hi there Donald.

When you are on the screen you want to capture, press shift and the printscreen button together. The picture will be saved to your computer clipboard. After you press printscreen, open a program like Microsoft Paint, right click and paste. This should paste the screenshot and you can then crop it there using the crop tool. You should then be able to save it as a .jpeg file and attach it to an email.

If you have a mac you can hold down, 'cmd', 'shift' and '4' together and you can use your mouse to drag around the area you want captured. It will then get saved onto your desktop.

Hi everyone, I know that this is a VERY old topic, but, what do the employees at Yola use to take screen shots? I use snipping tool right now, but, I don't think that Yola employees use snipping tool since everyone has a mac. What do you use? I like the arrows and graphics you can add in and in snipping tool, it only allows you to draw arrows or draw stuff and thats it.

Hey Nathan!
I personally use the simple command+shift and 4 on my Mac to take screen shots. (Hold down command and shift, press 4) Once you take the screenshot and open it up, you are able to annotate the picture by adding arrows, boxes, text, etc.
