I've deleted the ShareMe widget by clicking the X button as normal. However, using inspecting the page I see that the script for Twitter Facebook and Google are still embedded in the page. Why is this and how can I fully delete these?

Sure, look at the page source of this webpage (from line 1063 onwards):

http://www.shropshiremegroup.org.uk/

The widget was removed but the script is still there and still working...

Many thanks.

Hello ShropMe

Thank you for the reminder and sorry for the delay on answering your question. While I don't think that the remaining code has any effect because your visitors don't see the Social Widgets to use them any more, I'll need to ask a specialist to look into what's causing this. I'll come back to you with more information as soon as I have a response. Thank you for your patience.
