Can anyone give me the code, for a scroll down text? You know a text that scrolls down or up, as you scroll up and down the page?

Thanks in advance.

Ellie - good you confirm what exactly you want to do.

Do you mean like a static link whcih moves with you when the page moves...

something like the side bar here http://www.hexham.info/business

No. I mean, for example, the one that Duke mentioned. A static link that moves, when the page itself moves.

Hi Duke,

There's a problem. I inserted the code into a test page, but it won't show.

you see the top code where it says add to 'head' - add thsi code to a html widget at the top of the page.

add the body code somewhere else on the page.

Have you uploaded the x image to your filemanger and change the page code to read img src="resources/close.gif"

Never mind. I got the static link to show up. The only problem now is that it won't scroll down as I go down the page.

Hi Ellie,

The CSS and the javascript (the head code) have come out on 1 line - try and reapply that.

Dont run if through notepad or something first - just copy it straight in from dynamic drive.

Try and preview again.

Check list

1. the 'head' code is added in a sperate html widget at the top of the page and the code is showing on numerous lines as it does at dynamic drive.

2. the page code is added and the image source is edited (you've done this)

3. preview the page - it wont show in the site builder till later (dont know why)

Okay. Good news. It now works.

It turns out that copying directly from dynamic drive won't work. So instead I copied it, posted it first in Microsoft OneNote (it doesn't affect the coding like it does with Microsoft Word), then I posted it in the site builder. You could see it working correctly here:

Great news Ellie,

If you want to change the colour of the background and the size etc. its all in the CSS at the start of the first code.

You can add anything not just text - have fun.
