If I change my site over from a different registrar, when people search my site will they still be able to get there through a search? Or will I need to sign up something to get my site into search engines? (it already comes up in the search, but I'm considering yola because I don't like the limitations as far as website building and layout on the other site-building site..that I'm with) The other site had said that they just put it out there in the search engine for you, does yola do that also?

Hello fairytaledogs,
So if I am understanding correctly, you would like to build a new website with Yola and transfer your existing domain to Yola to go with this website.

Anytime you make a major change to a website, such as a re-build, this can cause some fluctuations in the search engines. However, if your site has good content and you employ SEO techniques, I would not expect the search engine changes to be to long lasting, but as always I cannot say for sure when it comes to the search engines. Simply switching domain registrars won't cause much of a change as where the domain is hosted will not make much of a difference, it is the changing of the content of a website that can cause some fluctuation.

To transfer your domain to Yola, you can follow the steps on this tutorial: Transferring your domain to Yola.

If you have other questions please let us know.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
