It is up to you what is displayed pretty much....Your page/window title...page description...key words and the content of your page is what determines what is picked up by search engines.

Hi Seaview Flowers,

To add keywords to your pages:

1. Click on the "Properties" sidebar in Yola.
2. Type in your keywords in the specially designated field (the third box from the top).
3. Keywords should be in lower case, separated by commas, with a space after each comma.

For help with selecting good keywords for your site, click here for the Google Suggest Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/Key...

Hello Seaview Flowers,

Actually, the text under my site name on Google searches is the text from the page itself. This is often the first couple of sentences. It may also be the text on the page which contains the key words. So do keep that in mind when you are writing text and choosing key words! Best wishes,

Sister

Hello Seaview Flowers

It will take some time for Google to re-spider your site and see that there have been changes. When these changes are detected, Google will replace the old information with the new. This can take some time, but will eventually happen. All you can do now is wait.

Hello Sanja.....I have tried to help out here and it has been a few days since Seaview Flowers changed all of her properties on her home page..I thought it would have changed by now so I did a few searches on engines other than Google.....If I search on Google for flowers Dunbeath her site comes up but all it says is Index/of .....Now on Yahoo it is really odd and for the same search her site comes up but with some Joomla info also....So I am wondering if she has used Joomla code on her site that is causing some problems

Hi John and Seaview Flowers,

I have taken a look at the returns in the search engine in both Google and Yahoo.

I do see that in Google it is displaying Index of/, and if you click on the Cache link it shows that this is a snapshot of the site from November 28, so that is the last time the search engine was there.

I would suggest resubmitting your sitemap. It is important not to do this very often though as Google might look at this like spam. The best way to get Google to come to your site and keep fresh copies of your site pages in its index is to add to your site often.

Here is how to resubmit your sitemap in your Google Webmaster account:

1. Sign into your Google Webmaster account.
2. Click on the URL link of the site you want to resubmit a sitemap for.
3. In the Sitemaps section click on the link that says "More".
4. Click "Resubmit Sitemap".

I also looked at the cached version in Yahoo which shows what the site that is in the cache looks like, and it is quite different than the current site. This is most likely the site from Joomla.

So it is just taking some time for the search engines to re-index the new content. Again, the best thing to do is add fresh content which in theory trains the search engine to come back and re-index often.

A great way to add fresh content often is with blogging. If you want to take a look at adding a blog to your site here is a link to our tutorial: Starting a Blog With Yola.

Hope this helps!

The good thing is that she does seem to be on first page for local searches....That is great for a brick and mortar business.

Looks like index/ is gone and what you used to have is showing...That is good and means your site is being crawled indexed and updated....It just takes awhile sometimes....I do have one more suggestion for your home page window title and I can't believe I missed this....replace the word tribute with he word "florists" maybe....You show up on the first page for the search term flowers Dunbeath but you really also need to show up as florists Dunbeath or Dunbeath florists....work in the word florists in your content also.....As always just a suggestion.

Yes I think so...I did a few searches and I think you are doing well in local searches for your keyword phrases....Have you had any extra business that you can attribute to your site?
