Hello Lyndsey,

This is a very good strategy for potentially increasing your site's popularity and ranking. Try the Yola tutorial Assigning domains and creating a primary domain

I have registered a second domain name (with yola) in order to maintain ownership of it, and so nobody else takes it. How can I link this to my existing site?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled

hi you could also use a html code which works well as it redirects the user automatically from one site to another.

tutorial

1. copy the code below
2. add a html widget from yola's widget list
3. paste the code into the html widget
4. change how long it takes for the redirection to happen (replace the number '5' (seconds) in the code to how long you want it to be until the user is redirected)
5. change the site the user will be redirected to (replace 'yoursite' with your url)

Thank you for your suggestion, Justin, but we cannot recommend this solution as it will redirect in SB as well, usually making it impossible to continue editing the site.

The best way to go would be to follow the instructions in our tutorial above. It's easy to do and included in any hosting package (= from Yola Bronze) that we offer.
