Hello,

I have noticed everytime I log in to my yola account, it has no security that I can see. I also noticed that ever since I opened a yola account to create a webstie that I had weird messages popping up.
This is a problem as I noticed at the same time that my antiviral software had detected and destroyed 3 spywares.
Aren't the websties protected against these malware systems? or do we have to find a company do to that for us ourselves?
Thanks for taking the time to answers!

The Yola builder is a well protected system as it stands, protecting both itself and its users against malware and other threats. Yola couldn't possibly guarantee its absolute protection as no one can, they know that their system is state of the art and it really is in their interest to catch or prevent unwanted code from getting through onto their systems.

Spyware is a very loose definition these days and can simply mean that some tracing cookie has been placed on your browser to check many things but in the case of Yola it traces your login so that you can automatically login again and it keeps track of some aspects of analytics, the introduction modal window, which may have already been removed by Yola(?) etc, it's not malware.

I'm not understanding of what you mean by "weird messages popping up. "

As far as depending on any site to protect your computer I think that you should always have your own sentinels installed on your computers if your computer data is important to you. This is a very general and almost universal recommendation for all computer users including the lucky owners of Mac computers.

Thank you, I assumed that there was some sort of protection on here, but I became suspicious when these messages came up (error in transcription) which were never there before. Also, as for cookies, although I keep ticking the remember me box, I have to manually enter my details everytime. So not sure if that is what the problem with the spyware that was found on my computer. And i do have adequate protection (at least my computer says it does) :D its just the website that I was worried about.
Thanks for your reply
