Selections for payment

Hey Guys/Girls,

I am looking to see if you would be able to implement a drop down or selection box area for our ecommerce/Paypal payment products.

I would like to have people be able to go to my site and click on the product they want, and if there are different options available (single, double, triple, etc.) than they could either use a drop down menu or a selection box in order to make an accurate purchase.

Say they use the drop down menu to make a selection, it would be nice to have the price automatically adjust to the new correct value. Same thing if they use a check box (where you could ONLY check one selection at a time).

Also, a note area where the customer could type in additional comments would be a great help. Any additional information they would like to say about what they want could be said there.

And lastly I would recommend an area during checkout for the customers to decide on what shipping service and carrier they would like to use. We can input the important details (LxWxH and weight) and they can select if they want USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc and how fast they want it to arrive.

If anything, I really feel that these are extremely important features that would help the community take that huge step forward.

Thanks everyone,

Mike

You can do this with the Paypal widget. Its the very last column on the side bar in the site builder. (It is in the category "Ecommerce" Just click it and the widgets will pop down and you can choose the Paypal widget for a single double or donation widget)

Hello Mike,

Yes, very much agreed that these would be very helpful features in the Online Store widget. We do hope to improve upon this feature in the future.

However, for things such as product options and shipping and handling details, you can create your own buttons to incorporate these things by visiting PayPal and customizing the code so that you can have a size selection on your site. Here's how:

1. Sign into your PayPal account.
2. Click the "Merchant services" tab in the horizontal menu.
3. Click the "Buy Now Button" or the "Add to Cart Button".
4. Choose button type and enter name and payment details.
5. Check the "Add drop-down menu with price/option" box half-way down the page.
6. Add the details of your selection.
7. Click "Done".
8. When done editing click "Create Button".
9. In the next window and in the (Website) code box click the "Select Code".
10. Right click on the highlighted text and click "Copy".
11. Open your site editor and drag an HTML Widget where you need it.
12. In the HTML Widget paste the code.
13. Then Update your site.

For detailed information on using PayPal, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF (5.8mb PDF).

Thank you for letting us know the features you are interested in and please let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
