Hi All

We have noticed that many people really struggle with:

1) Adding pictures to their sites, or finding great looking pics
2) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Yola has struck a great deal with two fabulous services that can help with these important site building tasks!

Need some great looking pictures to help make your site beautiful and professional? Try out: iStockphoto! They are offering a 10% discount for Yola users!

Need more traffic for your site? Want to get your site listed in Google and Yahoo! in a hurry? Take a look at: Wpromote. They are offering a massive 30% discount to Yola users. We recommend this service as a highly effective way to grow your online presence.

Thanks for taking a look. We hope many people get some great value out of these two services and have even better sites as a result!

Hi Hussain

You can add alt text for images added with the text widget but to do this you will need to edit the HTML. Sorry there isn't an easier way.

1) Click the HTML button at the end of the text editing toolbar.

2) A dialog box will open up with the HTML for your text widget. Look for the code for your image. It will start with `. Your images will then have an alt attribute.

Sorry, that code didn't come through (I must be tired). Here are the instructions again:

1) Click the HTML button at the end of the text editing toolbar.

2) A dialog box will open up with the HTML for your text widget. Look for the code for your image. It will start with <!--`<image scr = "`

3) Edit the code so that it looks like this:

`<img src="filename.gif" alt="Alternative description goes here"> -->

Add your alt text in place of the portion between the quotes.

4) When you are done, click "ok". Your images will then have an alt attribute.

Hi Boomer - as long as you're a new customer to them and follow the link Monique posted (or in the sitebuilder) to the Yola/Wpromote landing page, you'll still receive the discount. Of course, the promotion may be ended some time in the future, but I don't foresee that happening any time soon!
