Here is a good place to start https://www.yola.com/tutorials/catego...

SEO is not a one time thing you do. You should spend some time each day trying to make it better and fresh. Yola does make it easy for us to add our meta tags. Focus on content first though and make all your tags relate to the content on a given page.

I've been spending everyday on the site since last year and still we're not showing in the search engines even though i have followed the help advice on SEO on Yola training pages.

I seem to see the same old names that have appeared on Google search for over a year and google never seem to give other companies a chance to be on the main page even though in the UK over 18,000 companies exist providing similar services it's very unfair.

It really isn't Google that gives you the chance. It's the quality as judged by viewers that is the mark of performance. It's a slow game and you really just have to keep plugging at it until you break in. Your viewers/customers determine your ranking indirectly. If they stay on your site for a while this is a signal to Google and others that there is interest on your site. If that's the case then you are up-ranked in a sense and put higher on the list for the search phrase(s) that found you originally.

Google determine the search phrase from the content and if someone keys that in then they will list your site in the SERPS according to it's quality.

Your site looks good, you have a broad base of features and there are lots of companies offering similar as it seems from searches. You really do just have to stick with it and keep adding more as you go.
