i just started making this website so i am a beginner, but i made a list of my pages going down the left side of my home page. My first question is, how can i separate that list from the rest of the page, ex. a border or a different color background. I was also wondering how to make this go on every page without redu-ing it every page. thanks!

I'm not an expert with customizing menus, but I believe (with a question mark) that you can't do that with a yola menu... but you are able to obtain a custom menu from elsewhere on the internet. I can't think of the resources at the moment, but I'm sure there's a lot of people like papa, littleus, and ed that have resources for these things. You might also want to search getsatisfaction (the forum you're on now) for threads relating to custom menus. When you insert the custom menu, you'll most likely want to apply a page layout change to all pages on your site to suit for your menu so it's in the exact same spot on all pages. Ed @ honeybear playhomes has the best menu I ever did see used with yola (or for that matter anywhere on the web) - not sure how he did it though. http://honeybearplayhomes.com

You'll find that a lot of advanced options like site search and custom menus "seem" unavailable with yola... but they aren't unavailable, you just haven't asked littleus or papa for the resources LOL!

add this to your code

<!-- /*/*/border:1px solid #000000;/* */-->

when you do add it leave out the <!-- -->
When you use this you can increase the outline thickness box increasing the number before px after the word solid you can change the color of the out line.

You will have to add the menu to each page manually if you have already made the page.

to save a page to use over and over again

1 st set up page the way you want it.

2nd under "update my site" is a box with the word save written on it.
Click on it and make sure that the page has been save

3rd in that save box on the right hand side is a drop down arrow. Click on it and select "Save Page As" A box will appear in center of page.
name your page in the "*name" section. You can leave the heading or remove it your choice, also if you are using your our made menu unchecked the box marked "Show in navigation"

click on and you have created a new page.
