Can not log into My.yola.com .... is site down?

This looks very amateurish and i am rather surprised. There seems to be constant problems with the service you supply (i dont for that matter).

In 2 minds now to start looking for another company for our company website.

ETA to server fixed?

My published site is up and fine...My site builder is up and working fine also. . . .Just so you know every host will have down time. 100% up time is just something to strive for even if it is not possible.

We are not experiencing any server problems at this time. Can you tell me what happens when you try to log in? Do you get an error message or does the page simply fail to load? If you do get an error message, please tell us what it is. Also, if possible try from a different computer, browser or network for comparison and let us know the results.

We certainly take the availability of our service very seriously and have the best possible infrastructure and platform monitoring in place. In the event that anything is down we always strive to correct this as quickly as possible. However, to the best of our knowledge this does not seem to be the case at the moment.

Right firstly this isn’t an isolated problem if you take a look at the 'problem page' you will find many people are having similar difficulties, secondly this seems to have been going on for months if not years.

Many of the people on here are probably knew to computers, I’m not one of them, so telling me to use another computer is not helpful as my computer is top of the range and my internet is over 100mb and also it isn’t my OS either.

Let’s get to the real problem which is your equipment ... if the problem is reoccurring which spending some time reading back over many posts and some, which some are over 3 years old .. This isn’t an OS problem or my computer, this is your equipment is outdated or your software developers are incompetent.

Having played millions of mmo’s over many years I know when CS is trying to cover the a*** of the developers usually because:

1.They don’t have the funds to fix the hardware.
2.They haven’t got a clue what the doing.
3.They are not arsed and they are just trying to coin every penny they can from their customers.
4.They are going to close real soon.

So my question is which one of the above is the truth?

We understand how frustrating things can be when they don't work as expected. That said, none of your theories above are correct, nor do you seem interested in working towards a solution. If you do want assistance, please reply with your website address and keep your comments professional and respectful.

NEW QUESTION:

Finally i can now log in without it locking up and freezing.

Now im trying to post a post in the blog section ... text is fine ... but it wont show pictures no matter what i do.

I try and place same picture on web page ... all is fine and picture appears ...

Do not say OS as its not ... get someone who knows how to code and get them to fix it ... it worked last week ... but not this ... seems that whoever does the coding fixes one thing and breaks 2 more. Some advice hire new coder. This doesnt do your reputation very good.

Laura its not just me take a look at all the other posts which have been posted over the last number of months. Its the same story over and over. What seems to be common is that it gets fixed for 2 weeks but at the same time other things then break, so therefore someone is reloading previous versions and keeps swopping them about rather than fixing the problem.

It worked about 2 weeks ago ... now it doesnt again ... you see the common problem?

Ive tried just posting the picture with nothing else.... it doesnt like it but on the other hand the webpages have no problem with it.

Very annoying sitting here and having to do your 'experienced' 'best in their field' developers jobs.

On a plus note well done to whoever fed the hamster as the building site seems to be loading far faster. Gratz.

UPDATE:- Its not doing so well now ... returned to slow mode and freezing again.

Had an idea to test if the problem is new and tried it ... its new.

I tried to post a picture that i have posted previously without any problems and that picture will not post in the blog section either.

So that means it is at your end ... not mine.

Hello Private Investigator

Thank you for providing your URL. I'm afraid that I'm not able to replicate the problems you are reporting within your Yola account. This happens in 99% of all cases and makes it difficult for us to solve it. Still we always do our best to find out the cause of issues that our users are experiencing.

In order to test your issue to upload pictures to your blog, I've created a test page named "test-blog" in your account. Don't worry, it's not in your navigation, I haven't republished, and you can delete the page at any time. When you check that test page, you will see that I added text and a picture to a blog post. Doing this worked smoothly and without any problems in the Sitebuilder for me.

Did you already check general steps like
  • clearing your cache,

  • using a different browser, or

  • trying on a different computer?

You are right that there are a few other users who reported this kind of problem on the forum as well. This is why we take their and your complaint very seriously and are busy investigating on the causes. Thank you for your further patience and the detailed information which you have given us on this thread and will help us solving the problem.

I'm happy to hear that, Sharon. Can you please share which solution worked for you? Or did it just sort itself out by magic? :-)
