There is now an problem that I have to mention. I just made changes to one of pages and when I tried to save them I was told my session had expired. (this happened two times in less than 30 minutes yesterday) When I clicked ok I was asked if I wanted to leave the page as all changes would be lost. The answer of course is no but I have no choice because when I say no, the expired session notice comes back on. Now my work is lost and I have to redo the page. Would you please correct this problem please.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your message, I am sorry to hear that you are receiving the 'session has expired' message while working on your site. Here are some reasons why you may be seeing the message that your session has expired too early and steps to fix the problem:

1. If you are browsing a site anonymously, your sessions may often fail.
2. If cookies are not enabled, you may experience problems. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.
3. If you have a firewall set up on your computer, this could cause your sessions to time out before you want them to. Your firewall could be blocking certain sites, which in turn, prohibits any sessions from being established in the first place. Check your firewall settings and just make sure you're allowing the sites you like to visit to come through.
4. You can try clearing your browser's cache: Clear cache.
5. Try accessing Yola in a different browser like Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 7 to see whether you session does not expire.

Please also make sure that you only have your sitebuilder opened in one tab or window on your computer at a time.

Kind Regards,

I am reviving this question as I am constantly having the same problems.

I have undertaken all of Brianna's instructions and still am having the problem of sesssion expired and losing all my work. I dont believe my firewall is blocking the session.

Is this a bug please or is there another answer?

Hello debbym,

I'm sure that this is quite frustrating. Can you please let us know what browser and version you are using? Also, please be sure to click on "Save" after you have added any kind of change to your site.

Can you try disabling your Firewall to see if that does help?
