Hi all... got a little Q for you's...

I've added an html code to each one of my pages... this code enables a small SHARING MENU PANEL to appear on the left side of my pages... (has been working perfectly)

!!!!script type="text/javascript">var switchTo5x=true;
!script type="text/javascript" src="http://w.sharethis.com/button/buttons...>
!!!!script type="text/javascript" src="http://s.sharethis.com/loader.js">

(I added the !!!! to stop the code from causing issues in this post)

ok... so.. this code is featured on each one of my 3 pages... it works on all, but the INDEX page... on this INDEX page... I also feature a TUMBLR section & SOUNDCLOUD link.... might this have anything to do with it? The code is right at the top beneath the banner... but for some reason... on this page, the SHARING MENU is not showing...

take a look:

(please exclude the spaces in URL don't want google crawlers to link page name to this forum) - www(dot)sel kie off icial(dot)com

Look forward to you're help :)

Thanks,

Mick

Hello Mik

I can perfectly see your share panel on each of your pages when I open your website. Maybe a caching issue? Please clear your cache and cookies, try a different browser or on a different computer to compare.

Here is a screenshot for your reference:

Hi Stefan,

That's because I found the error in the code on the IndexPage and was able to tweek and resolve... I've not had the chance to update this thread today... but I'm happy to say - RESOLVED :)

Can I ask your personal opinion of the website itself?

Regards,

Mick

Hello Mick

I like the spacious design and minimalistic approach of the site. I'm always thrilled if users customize a Yola Style so much and individually that I'm not able to recognise the template that was used. Awesome Job!

Tips for improving:
  • Test if slightly increasing the spacing between the navigation menu links would make the menu links more distinguishable (unless you want it that way).

  • The black background for a selected navigation link could be more visible if the whole navigation background was a bit lighter. Not a problem to do in a Style where you play with black-white design.

Hi Stefan, thanks for taking the time to comment...
big smiles... :) thanks for the compliments...

I'm going to take your points on board and tinker about a bit....

good thing is the Tumblr integration... this way my client gets to update her own site and keep a constant blog going... love this feature.

Yola has helped me so much and the things to edit and integrate is endless ;)

Cheers Stefan.

Pleasure, Mick.

Yeah, I also love the Tumblr integration which I have on my own website as well (German). It's a nicely simple blog that will match any minimalistic site. What's more, adding content to your site by using a blog can be beneficial for your SEO. I'm happy that you are enjoying Yola so much, and if you have any questions or problems, you're welcome to post in our forum again.
