Sharing files between sites we are working on

Please allow us to share files we upload between websites we create - and not limit them to the site where they were uploaded. Also it would be great if we could cut/copy boxes with pics/html/text to other parts of the site, preserving everything and replicating it elsewhere.

Thanks

Hi Nikolay,

I agree that would be a great idea. Another think you can do is "save page as" and then just name it something else. Then you can delete the widgets you don't need on the new page and keep the ones you want.

Hope this helps!

Hello Nikolay

Thanks so much for sharing with us how we can improve our site builder to better meet your needs. I will certainly pass your idea on to our development team to take under future consideration.

In the meantime, MKB and diane have offered some great advice. In case you didn't know, you can also copy your pics/text/html by highlighting (or selecting the image), right-click and copy. Then, go to your new page and paste your copied item.

I believe this may be what I did for my site that is now not showing those pics because of the site builder being down. Emmy informed me that these need a relative url with 'resources/your.jpg"
So I would caution you when copying and pasting these to make sure the url is okay.

Hi Nikolay,

There is a way to do both of the things you are asking.

1. Lets say you upload an image to SITE A. That image now has a URL of its own - http:// SITEA.yolasite.com/resources/image.jpg
You can display the file in SITE B by adding this code -
<img src="http:// SITEA.yolasite.com/resources/image.jpg>

2. To achieve the second point you need to know a little more about html... if you want to replicate entire box's and all their content, simply, publish a page with content you want to replicate, then right clcik the published page, choose 'view page source' then select the html you want to replicate and copy it into a site builder.

But i also agree that your second point should be made easier, it would be nice just to beable to copy an entire 2 column widget and all its content.
