Does anyone have an idea of when Yola will have the shipping price feature to the PP Buy button. I am finishing the site right now and will wait if it will be fairly soon???
Ballpark timeframe??

Hi There,

Unfortunately we don't have a frame time for this to be implemented. We are hoping to add more functionality (like this one) to the PayPal widgets in the near future.

In the meantime, you would need to add the cost of shipping to the price in the description field or include it in the total cost of your product.

An alternative is to create your buttons and customize the shipping rates on For information on how to add shipping to your products, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF - (5.8mb PDF). Once you've customized your settings on PayPal, you can copy the HTML embed code provided and add it to your site using the HTML widget.

I would love to know if this is on the horizon or not? I have a webstore that ships some rather large items and costs vary so much that I don't want to expand the items the length of the page to write out all of the options for every single shipping zone.

Also wondering if there may be anything like a size/colour drop down box being introduced to the modules system any time soon? Would certainly cut down on adding in seven of the same items for different colour/size options......

Hello Shanda,

With so many feature requests and upgrades on our list, it is difficult to say whether or not this is something that we will consider. Having said that though, we do realize that our Online Store functionality is basic and we would like to make improvements in this area. So, this feedback is always good to hear as it helps us formulate our goals and projects.

Have you considered using PayPal buttons to help incorporate this function? You can also use the buttons to include your size and color as well. Here's how to retrieve the code:

1. Sign into your PayPal account.
2. Click the "Merchant services" tab in the horizontal menu.
3. Click the "Buy Now Button" or the "Add to Cart Button".
4. Choose button type and enter name and payment details.
5. Check the "Add drop-down menu with price/option" box half-way down the page.
6. Add the details of your selection and click "Done".
7. When done editing click "Create Button".
8. In the next window and in the (Website) code box click the "Select Code".
9. Right click on the highlighted text and click "Copy".
10. In the Sitebuilder, drag and drop an HTML Widget where you need it.
11. In the HTML Widget paste the code and click on "Save".
12. Republish your site by clicking on the green "Publish to the web" button.

I hope you can use this as a workaround for now.

Can anyone say if this is done?

I've signed up for a trial, at least a small run of it, of the shopping service.

It's troubling to see a message from 3 years ago get bumped down and down and finally a hack (best I can tell) provided as a solution.

It it's been coded, AWESOME!

If not, I'll ask the same sort of question from 3 years ago and 2 years ago, and 1 year ago.... is it coming?

YOLA is awesome, but when features like shipping aren't done for a SHOPPING SERVICE isn't that really troubling. Isn't shipping 1/2 of the fundamental things that a seller has to do?

I hope I'm being overly cautious by jumping into a 3 year old thread and asking questions, but it's a great measurement of a company's success at filling user's needs.

Thanks much!

Hi Mike,

Yola have subsequently partnered with Ecwid for their Online Store facility which has all the required shipping options. This has made the PayPal button shipping requirement in a large sense redundant. PayPal is one of the payment gateways offered in the Online Store so all the benefits of PayPal and more are pre-coded with this shop. The Online Store: FAQ gives a very good outline of what is offered and how it functions

Users can still use PayPal buttons and some are certainly doing this for their sales items. The shipping facility has to be implemented with PayPal's help or their online facilities. It is not directly supported by Yola.
