Is it possible to have "Customer Message" box on the shopping bag?

Just to clarify - I would like it possible for customers to leave comments/instructions in the checkout section.

Thanks for the idea but I think my customers would find that a bit complicated.

The reason I need this option is because I am offering A product at three price levels...that's not a problem. The problem is that they can then choose from for styles.
I.E. The first price point is one of each (easy)
The second is two of each (again easy)
The third is pick 12 of what you want (my problem)

You'll be sorry you ever tried to help me.....but again...thanks very much

One item is for sale but it is in four colour ways/styles of which the colours/styles are depicted in the gallery.

A very, very weak solution is using Facebook. This presumes that your FB is connected to your store and that the customer uses FB. ( i don't think a functional solution)

There is a mention of customer messaging in Ecwid's KB but nothing of a method. They simply say that it's possible using javascript. Sorry! You may like to go onto their forum as a user and ask the question? http://www.ecwid.com/forums/forumdisp...

Not all my customers would use Facebook...I think I'm trying to get things too perfect.

I have an answer at present which is:.
Ask them to email me their choice or I email them asking after they have paid...which is ok but because of my success with your postage idea O got a bit too excited....still thanks for trying.

Good news Rick. It has been implemented recently by Ecwid:


We’ve added the comment area for customers on checkout: http://www.ecwid.com/blog/ecwid-news/...

You can enable this feature in the control panel and allow your customers to write notes and add specific information to their orders. After orders are placed they will display as notes in the backend.

This feature can be used to collect any specific information or considerations that your customers would like to attach to an order. For example a gift note, a preferred time of delivery, specific options related to a whole order.

Got my SatNav out and finally found my way to your answer ...which (as usual) was spot on.
I now have exactly what I wanted...and because I had to hunt around first I have found a number of other items that were very useful. Yet another Thank you.

Do you actually do something like this for a living?....If not Yola should put you on a retainer!!!!
