Shopping Cart Pull Down Menu Problem

I have set up my PayPal Cart (in PayPal) to include 3 types of shipping preferences: FREE shipping, standard, & priority. When I created my site, I used the product catalog widget to enter my items. When I test the items, the cart only uses one method and there is no pull down menu for the shipping choices. How can I get the pull down menu to appear in my cart? Is there a way to change the product catalog settings or is this necessary? Please help as this is the only thing holding me up from publishing my site! Thanks in advance for any advice!! I am inexperienced at website building but I have found this Yola is so easy and is perfect for my needs, but I just need to get this shopping cart snafu taken care of!

Hello Lori,

The Yola Online Store widgets don't yet offer this feature. However, you can add to your site by visiting PayPal and customizing the code so that you can have a size selection on your site.

Here's how:

1. Sign into your PayPal account.
2. Click the "Merchant services" tab in the horizontal menu.
3. Click the "Buy Now Button" or the "Add to Cart Button".
4. Choose button type and enter name and payment details.
5. Check the "Add drop-down menu with price/option" box half-way down the page.
6. Add the details of your selection and click "Done".
7. When done editing click "Create Button".
8. In the next window and in the (Website) code box click the "Select Code".
9. Right click on the highlighted text and click "Copy".
10. In the Sitebuilder, drag and drop an HTML Widget where you need it.
11. In the HTML Widget paste the code.
12. Republish your site by clicking on the green "Publish to the web" button.

For detailed information on using PayPal, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF (5.8mb PDF).

I hope this helps.

Hi Lori

I think once you get set up and used to the Add To Cart buttons you will like it much better....Aside from giving you the options you need it really does free you to present your items in many different ways.
I do still use the Yola/PayPal widget some on my site for special sales I set up for customers on non public pages.

Here are a few samples of how I use the Add To Cart buttons if you would like to have a look

Hi Jeremy & John! Thanks so much for your quick response! I did go back to PayPal and created the buttons as you suggested. Works great!
And John... the samples you gave me are terrific! I LOVE your site! I wish I could be so creative! Thanks again!

Thank you for your kind words....Have to admit my first attempts at making a site were less than artistic to say the least. This forum is a great place to learn though...I have been here over two years now and read posts every day...I learn something pretty much every day....All the little tidbits of information and ideas add up.
