This morning I got this from Yola:
Your Yola Silver subscription expires in 90 days

Renew Yola Silver now and get over 10% off

This is courtesy notice to remind you that your Yola Silver account expires on 2012-04-13. Ensure your website remains online uninterrupted by renewing today. If you have a domain, you also need this package for hosting

As you can see my Yola Silver expires in 2013 not 2012. Can you verify that I am okay for another year please?

When I look up your account on our system it shows that your Silver expires on 2012-04-13. If you believe this is an error please drop us an email in support so that we can get to the bottom of it.

Thats what I have on my records too, which is why I didnt understand the email saying 2012:
( quote )-This is courtesy notice to remind you that your Yola Silver account expires on 2012-04-13-.
As long as I wont suddenly be cut off, that's fine. I was pretty sure I had another year.

Correct - your Silver subscription expires in 90 days, which is why you received the email.

Hi Monique,

The ISO 8601 date standard is a standard of most of the world but not everyone understands this convention. i wonder if a written date would be a less ambiguous way to write dates and this also complies with ISO 8601

Thanks. I will pass that suggestion on to the person who does our transactional emails. There may be a technical reason for doing it this way that I am not aware of.

I just went to renew and have discovered where my confusion came from. I have three domain names ( two no longer are used so I wish to let expire ). I thought the reminder was for BritSAL.net, my main one, which does in fact last until 2014. Sorry for the confusion everyone. I just need to check now that the two I don't want renewed won't automatically renew. Thank you!

Hi Sal,

The notice you have received refers to your Silver subscription and not to your domain.

There are two separate services to be subscribed to:
1. Your domain ( Yola or other provider). This is OK by what you have displayed
2. Your hosting plan (Yola) and in your case Silver. This needs to be renewed by the 13th April 2012.

You need to have both (domain and hosting) paid up for your site to be published.

Can you confirm that this just applies to www.britsal.net, as I dont require anything for the other two?

I will renew if I can find out how, although under www.britsal.net it clearly says my silver subscription expires in 2013? Here is a screenshot.

Thank you Sal. Yola accounts will be able to work with this and confirm your Silver status. (Different to how they interpreted their internal records)

aladdinscave.org and thebritsaclub.com you wish to stop auto-renewal of both those domains?

Accounts will get back to you with a confirmation also for that.

aladdinscave.org and thebritsaclub.com I wish to stop auto-renewal of both those domains, as I want them to expire. I have tried to renew the yola silver on britsal.net but each time it auto defaults to alladdinscave ( I am sure britsal.net isn't due to expire until April 2013 as shown on the screenshot above, and maybe this is why it won't let me renew? ). Is it possible to renew britsal.net by email through paypal if the screesnshot isnt right, and it really is going to expire this April?
