Simplify folder structure?

Hey Yola,
I was wondering whether you could simplify the folder structure in the archive's that you can download from the file manager? I'm altering some stuff and I needed to download a folder called 'menu', I right-clicked and clicked Download zip and the folder structure just to get to the menu folder was something like:

'yola_zip_archive.zip\var\www\synthasite\sites\S3\D4b1\D65b\Ddb4\Ddac\U1dedf4590607400fb15ecad4bdb561b4\8a49866b28bc64c60128c43a51a17036\resources\\resources\menu'

and that's rather long lol

Thanks
Callum

Hi, this is what I was talking about that one time. This is how they store the files. They don't store them on your actual site because each site doesn't have it's own machine (server) There are multiple sites on one server so all of the files are stored on that computer. And then somehow they use some system where you can link to the files through your website's URL (which is WAY shorter)

But, I don't know if there is a way to get it shorter since that is what the actual folder looks like.

I hope this helps!

Ah, I see now, but surely it would be better if they had some system, where only the files you want are downloaded, and not a massive incomprehensible folder structure

Hi there Callum,

I spoke with an engineer about this and we can see what you are saying with the structure of how the files are downloaded, it is quite long. At this time we are not going to change this, but I will log this with our product team to be considered in future releases. Thanks for letting us know what you are interested in seeing, we do appreciate that!

@Nathan: Thanks for your help here on the thread!

Kind Regards,
Emmy
