Single widget not working causes entire page to not work?

I have observed that if a single element (in this case an embedded site chat widget from plupper.com) won't load, it causes the entire page to not load on both the published site & in site editor. Can this behavior be modified?

Hello Stephen,
When a widget is added to the page that contains either bad or incomplete code it can break the whole page. What we would suggest is that you always test any code you want to add to your page on a test page to see how it behaves. That will save you from putting the code onto one of your functioning pages and the page breaking.

In this case it was becuase the widget became unresponsive because it was most definitely working before.

It seems like plupper.com may have not paid their internet bill.

I was able to finally edit the page, but it took a long time for Yola to give up trying to load that piece of code. I just thought there may be a way for you to change that behavior.

Just an idea! =)

Hmmm, yes, if it was code that was embedding something, and the source was affected, then the Sitebuilder would have trouble loading it. And the code could definitely affect the code around it. I can see what you mean that maybe when an external widget stops working, it is automatically removed from the SB so it doesn't affect the rest of the code on the page, however that would be a pretty big job. I will definitely put it forth to our team as a feature request to be considered in the future :)
