Hi alibby30,

Your site is seen here. Your live cam page is blank however.

Hi alibby30

I have checked your website in Sitebuilder and I'm afraid to confirm that I cannot open your site either because it won't stop loading.

I suspect that the reason for this is the code you added for your live cam. I'm sorry to tell you that there is no way to restore your home page (index page) now because it is not accessible in Sitebuilder any more. You will need to create a new home page and rebuild it from scratch. To do this click on Page > Save Page As, and enter index as the page name. Confirm to overwrite your index page in the following pop-up box.

What I recommend you for your new website:
  • If you are not going to use your home page as a blog, I'd suggest to use a normal page for your home page because a blog page is restricted compared to a normal page.

  • If you want to add custom code to your Yola website, it is better to first test this code on a test page. You can create one without adding it to the navigation of your site. If the code fails on your test page, you'll be able to delete it and won't lose content.

In fact if the site won't load then alibby30 will need to reconstruct the whole site. Once the index page is irreparably broken there is no access to any of the site in the builder anymore.

What is a good thing to do is to copy the code from your published site. This can be done by right clicking your mouse on the page(s) and View the source code.

Copy and paste this into a word processor for convenience. You can use this to get a feel of what code has been added specially for your slide show and banner, if you are comfortable with reading code.

Download the images by right clicking on them or at least take a note of the names you have used for the images unless you have a backup on your pc with the same names. Your File Manager images will not be accessible for re-use and will require that you re-load your images as well.
