having issues with Yola Publishing being different from Site Build and Preview . . . do we have someone working on make a more honest representation at YOLA ? Not good that we build a page and when published it looks different in the spacing and other spacing values than what we built it to be . . .

Hi innerchildpress,

There are some discrepancies between the three and Yola are working on a release to overcome these in the near future.

You may like to see the announcement which doesn't give a definite date.

great . . .hopefully it is soon, for it does present a problem in representing ourselves in the utmost of professional manners . . . . especially when it comes to such nuances as alignments of graphics and text holding in place . . . Thank you

Hello innerchildpress,

I'm sorry to hear that you're seeing this issue. Please can you share your URL so that we can see how your site is displaying for us?

Also what browser and version are you using?

I am getting there slowly now, it is just a long job doing it, saving it, looking at it, correcting it and so on.

Cheers

Hello Ian

It's true that the process you mentioned can become a little laborious, but that's the way Yola Sitebuilder works. The Sitebuilder View cannot reflect the real appearance of your live site because it needs space for the widget frames, etc. Preview mode, however, will always give you an accurate impression of what your live site will look like later after you've republished, especially in terms of the exact spacing of your page elements. Should you ever see a difference between Preview and your live site, please let me know.

I love your custom navigation menu and banner design! You may want to choose a darker blue for the font of the unselected menu links to achieve a better contrast to the colour of the buttons.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Once again Stefan thank you for your answer. Can't believe you have just said you like the menu buttons, I have now abandoned it as it was taking to long. Reverted back to original design now. However now I am wondering if I should persevere. Oh decisions decisions............

:-) I know what you mean. However, I like your new design even more! I think that this Style template is perfect for your website. And it will obviously be more convenient for you to work on because everything added to the main menu will show up there automatically, and you will also be able to make use of the practical Page Manager. Congrats!
