Site change of page header color, help needed to revert back to how it was.

I've been a yola free member for a couple of years, been slowly building my site, changing along the way until I'm now finally happy with it, for some reason recently my page names on the top menu part of my page have changed from white to blue color, now I haven't made these changes and changing text color in the edit box does't seem to do anything, is there any way of changing the color back to white at all? I emailed Yola who say they are unable to help free yola users, so could anyone please help?

Hello keith,

May I ask your site address please? I can inspect the code from here and possibly see what is happening.

Thanks for the link Keith.

I can see where the issue is and presume that it related to recent sitebuilder developments?

<a title="About" href="about.php">
<font size=""2"" color=""#fdfdfd"">About</font>
</a>

This is the page title entry. You can see where there are double quotes before and after the font size value and the colour code. The size doesn't seem to be an issue presumably 2 is the default text size for the menu titles. The colour is affected as the code #fdfdfd will show as white as you have mentioned. The double quotes though short circuits this so that the colour code is interpreted as a blank code which means that the default colour of the style will be displayed and blue is the default colour of the navigation titles.

Can I ask you to go into your page manager and see if the double quotes appear in the title text? If they do then delete one set of quotes before and after the colour entry.

If this works can you get back to me here. Yola have recently warned people about adding HTML in the page titles. Presumably there was some change made within the system somewhere and it is causing problems with customised coding specifically in this place. I have noticed it also in one of my sites. The solution for this is very straight forward if you have Yola Silver or Gold as these allow access to the site CSS and a global change at this place is easy to effect.

Dear Gop,

Thanks so much for looking at my site for me, I’ve gone into Page Manager and this is an example of what I have:-

Services

So what I followed your advice and deleted the double comma’s before and after the color code and left the following text:-

Services

Now text is showing up white - brilliant!!!

I did change the color code of each page header to #ffffff (pure white I think) once the color change worked, as the #fdfdfd may have been an off white color.

Now I’m back on track thanks to you Gop, your kindness in helping a stranger has moved me, thank you so mich, now I can carry on putting the finishes touches to my site after about 2 years of slowing building and changing to something I was happy with.

Kindest Regards and thanks again,

Keith

PS Gop,

The text size may have not changed, its looks the same size as it was before the problem of text color change happened so maybe the size wasn't affected, just thought I'd mention this for your own knowledge and anyone having same problem as myself.

Thankyou
