Sitebuilder not saving my pages after changes.

Can't save page after making changes,, say's something went wrong!....worked great until the new changes 30 minutes ago. won't save any of my changes.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this trouble. Can you please try clearing the cache in your browser and try again? Here's the link with information on how to do this: Clear the Cache

Hi Sanja,

I tried everything its still the same. I tired clearing the cache, browers history, cookies and also logging out and in. I closed my browser and opened again also to no avail. Thanks

Last Java update is interfering with Sitebuilder. It gives an error message and doesn’t allow to save pages or to publish. It’s not a matter of memory. Remove last java update and Sitebuider works ok. It took me three days to discover it. I think is Oracle update 26.

Yeah,, Sorry to say clearing a cache is'nt the problem,,it's always a quick answer. Unfortunate for us but chages you guy's made earlier is effect our script and java that worked earlier. the only solution i have found is to delete the page and start with a blank one. Then they do save, but i can't very well delete 1800 pages of written script and Java and start over, it would be impossible. im' sure people with small simple sites may have avoided this meltdown.

Mine is broken too :( I "used" to have an animated graphic banner now it stops and starts like it has the hiccups then just completely freezes :( the bar down the bottom where you can use to scroll left or right is dancing a real treat too, and I also have a message down the bottom bar saying "done but with errors" :(

Sanja, Thank's a million for your time on this issue,, im' not claiming to be a webmaster, far from it, i did notice however when i copy all my script out of the HTML widget and save the page as blank,, then return to the page and paste my same html, it will save.... hope that helps a bit. Also, can you guys let us know what browser and version you are using? We're trying to pinpoint this but it's a bit difficult. Any further information that you can share with us would be very helpful.

Did you see this error message just by going into the Sitebuilder or was it after you saved a page or used the "Save page as" feature?

I'm using IE8 and it 'was' working fine....least I don't think I broke anything :)

I get the error,," Something went wrong " everytime i try to save new changes on old pages. Mozilla 3.6.8 ,, one i was using before the changes earlier.. you guy's have and outstanding product and customer support,, i do understand you want to make great improvements, as well you have, my only concern is some people have spent years building these sites and even the smallest changes can have serious reprocussions. May'be more private testing should be done before being applied to sites that have seriously complicated scripts/Java/php. This error could prove fatal to many site owners, that may not even know they can't make any changes to their websites. Best of Luck and like my grandpa used to say, stop fixing what ai'nt broke.

We certainly do understand and share your feelings that any changes introduced can cause a rippling effect - whether it be positive or negative.

We do take great care in ensuring that any releases we have, undergo rigorous testings for QA. Despite our good intentions, sometimes, we can miss things. It appears that this is the case here and for that we are sorry.

Bit more info for you guys, It will save most things - If I try to move around a small javascript script it wont save it - Also I can not create a new page with the save page as function.

Also text cursors are not showing up in the text editor and the when I try to click on the text I want to edit it highlights the whole line.

Seems like there are a few bugs hiding away.

Hi Lee,

1. The Save Page and Save Page As issue is a bug we're aware of, so we'll leave that for now.
2. The text cursor - I can replicate if I click in the Text Widget, then go click on the text editing toolbar - the cursor is no longer there. Is that what's happening to you? When I click in your text, it just adds the cursor, it doesn't highlight the whole line though.

Sorry for the late reply, yes the tool bar thing is correct. The highlighting issue seems to only happen in the text that was in < label > tag's. No panic there it probably always did it.

But the disappearing cursor is new.

On looking again the text cursor thing seems to be only effected also in custom code. nothing to see here. :)

Just the page saving thing.

Hi All

I just wanted to make a comment on this thread. I am not 100% sure what is going on yet, but due to the high number of complaints there definitely seems to be a problem with saving pages. It is not 100% "replicatable," but we have seen the problem on our end a couple of times, and there are enough users reporting it that we are sure there is a bug. We do not know if it is related to the most recent release, but given the timing this is certainly possible.

All I can tell you at this point is that we are looking into it. Support is contributing by making careful note of all affected users, and any relevant details that they may share with us. The engineers who are currently awake are helping us think through this as much as they can, but the key people who need to look at this are in San Francisco and asleep at this time. We have decided not to wake them because they were up late working on the release and they need to be rested before they can work productively on this elusive bug.

So very sorry for the delays and we will update you as soon as we have any further info.

I have sporadic updates when I publish changes, the most annoying it text that I have centered in design mode seems to believe it is left-justified. I can only kick myself so many times before submitting a request for assistance :-)

Not seeing changes is often down to your browser cache. In Firefox if you hold shift and press refresh it clears the temp cache, with most other browsers it's Ctrl and refresh.

If it's not this maybe you could link your site and I'll have a look at what might be happening.

i getting f****d off, i just spent ages building a site, on a MAC that is is my college and now iit isnt allowing me to save it.

yola said they will be in touch in 24 hours, however i will be forced to log off the MAC in less than 30 minutes.
