Hi Andy,

For detailed, step-by-step, instructions on how to verify your site with Google Webmaster and submit a sitemap, please see our Google Webmaster Tutorial - http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/g... Please use our instructions and not Google's. Google's are written on the assumption that you are coding the website from scratch. Our instructions are written to work specifically with SynthaSite.

If you have any difficulty with this, please let us know.

Guys I have submitted to google as the guide suggests.

I have got this error twice.

We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure that your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location which you provided and then resubmit.

web url is www.sillybandsuk.com

I added /sitemap.xml

So www.sillybandsuk.com/sitemap.xml

What am I doing wrong?!?

Hello leejohnson_2000

If you are seeing sitemap errors, can you please check to make sure that the correct site is verified in Google Webmaster that you are submitting the sitemap for, and that the correct sitemap (sitemap.xml) has been submitted. If you are seeing an error and you would like us to take a look at it, can you please send us an email to support@yola.com and we can help you further.

It is important to note that Google Webmaster can be a bit of a finicky tool and often errors with sitemaps will resolve themselves within a couple of days on their own. If you see an error, confirm that you haven't changed your verification code, and that you have entered the correct url... and keep in mind that Google Webmaster errors do not mean that your site will not be indexed.

We have not been seeing any other reports of this nature, so the best thing to do if you are seeing an error is to give it a bit of time for Google to work it out.

Here is a link to the Google Webmaster forum if you would like to pose a question there to other Google Webmaster users: Google Webmaster Forum.
