I have just resubmitted my site on google webmaster and am now getting the following message "We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit. I have never had this message beofre and has just happened, is this due to any changes made in Yola?

Hello Craig

If you are seeing sitemap errors, can you please check to make sure that the correct site is verified in Google Webmaster that you are submitting the sitemap for, and that the correct sitemap (sitemap.xml) has been submitted. If you are seeing an error and you would like us to take a look at it, can you either take a screen shot of it or send the exact text of the error.

It is important to note that Google Webmaster can be a bit of a finicky tool and often errors with sitemaps will resolve themselves within a couple of days on their own. If you see an error, confirm that you haven't changed your verification code, and that you have entered the correct url... and keep in mind that Google Webmaster errors do not mean that your site will not be indexed.

We have not been seeing any other reports of this nature, nor are we experiencing any technical difficulties that would affect this. So the best thing to do if you are seeing an error is to give it a bit of time for Google to work it out.

Here is a link to the Google Webmaster forum if you would like to pose a question there to other Google Webmaster users: Google Webmaster Forum.
