Skyline Style Issues

I recently stumbled upon the "Skyline" website style. I really love it and it fits my site extremely well, but I'm encountering two problems and need to know if it's an issue on my end or the design's end?

First, when I edit the heading, it appears that what I typed is fine and dandy... until I hit "preview." When I hit preview, all of the pages appear to have the "Skyline logo" again. The second issue is that when I hover over "edit banner image", instead of what I'm normally used (it directing me to the option to choose a photo for my banner), it directs me to the style designer.

Help, please!

Hi Karin

Thanks for trying out the Skyline style! I am glad you like it.

One of the things about the new styles is that they are extremely flexible and you can edit so many aspects that some of the options can be a little difficult to locate at first, but once you get it figured out it is well worth it for all the control you have over the look and feel of your site.

With regard to the issues you are having:

With Skyline you can choose between having a page heading or a logo and a tagline. It is set to use a logo by default. You can still type in a heading which will be your H1 tag for the page, but it won't display unless you uncheck the option to use a logo image. To do this:
1) Open the Style Designer.
2) Open the "Advanced" tab
3) Click on "Logo"
4) In the dialog box that opens up, click "Edit" and then "No Image"
5) Save your changes in the Style Designer.

Alternatively you can upload your own logo image and add a tagline.

When you click on the Banner image it is meant to direct you to the Style Designer, which is the new place to edit the banner. Once again, this option can be found in the "Advanced" tab of the Style Designer.

A tip for using the Style Designer:
When you have it open, click on the element of the style you wish to edit in the adjacent page. (You will see the different elements highlighted with a blue dotted line when you mouse over them). When you click on the element you wish to edit, this will filter all the properties related to that element in the Style Designer. This makes it a lot easier to find the property you are looking for!

I hope this helps and that you have a lot of fun using Skyline and the Style Designer to create a unique and beautiful site! If you run into any design challenges or difficulties using the new features please let us know as we would be happy to help and are interested to hear of your progress!
