Hello Audii,

I think this can be fixed within Skype itself:

  1. Open Skype program.

  2. Select Tools -> Options

  3. Select Privacy Settings.

  4. Check the "Allow my status to be shown on the web"

  5. Click "Save" in the Options dialog to exit.

You may need to clear your cache and check it again.

Hi Audii,

Here's a good resource describing how to clear the browser cache and some background I think: http://support.google.com/accounts/bi...

If you ever have problems with publishing or updating your site, then Clearing your browser cache is really the first line of maintenance that can be performed. often it is magic the way that it solves problems.

Make sure also that your Skype settings show you as Online or whatever you wish to set. These are all Skype settings. Just go through them and select the options that you prefer.

Go to this link http://www.skype.com/share/buttons/ and generate your skype online status code.

Cookies aren't the messages they are little tracking codes that are placed on your computer by other computers.

After clearing the cache etc then go to the link:http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/tell-...

Select the button that best shows what you want to display, copy the code that is generated.

Drag an HTML widget onto your page of your site where you wish to display your status and paste the HTML code into the widget.

First thing to do is to enter your Skype name into the box provided close to the top of the page.

Then select the button type that you want from the displayed options and click on the option facility.

In the box outlined you will see some code. You need to copy all of this code, best by clicking your mouse at the top of this code and dragging it down to the finish of the code which is beyond the viewport. Right click and save the code.

back on your site page, drag an HTML widget from the left hand side bar to the place where you wish the button to be displayed. Paste the code by right clicking your mouse and paste option. This will place the copied code into the widget. Save the widget contents. Publish and inspect your published page to see if it is OK.

Sorry for my delay Audii,

In the Yola sitebuilder in the left hand sidebar, you will see a selection of headings describing the categories of widgets that are available for use directly in the builder. The HTML widget is in the first group, in the Basic collection.

Drag this onto your page:

You will see the cursor blinking at the left hand side in the line marked 1. Now Paste the code you got from your Skype button page.
Click the Save button
Publish your site
Inspect the outcome. Hopefully that now will work for you
