Hi Yola Team;

I was trying to insert my html code for a slider in one of my sites;

****>

****<

The slideshow appears immediately and behaves like a slideshow after pasting the script but it won't show up on preview. I wonder what's causing the conflict.

Please help!

Joel

Hi Leojin,

I'm unable to see your code here.

Please wrap your code between < code > and < /code > tags. (Please remove the spaces between the bracket(s) and enclosed word).

Your code goes in here.

You can also link the page the code is on here and we can take a look at it on your Sitebuilder.

Hello Leojin,

What slide show are you using specifically?

Hi Gop,

I didn't use any software for this attempt. Just some script that I thought will create a fading slideshow on yola webpage using the html widget. I was happy when the slideshow showed up after saving. As I click the preview it's nowhere found.

Thanks for any help.

OK. Your code lost me, sorry. I can see where you refer to "slide-show.js" but then close it and it doesn't appear to be called from within your code subsequently? Is that "slide-show.js" script doing anything with the slide show?

Have you tried publishing to see if it is seen on a live site? There may well be differences between the preview aspect and the published viewing. I haven't come across this recently but certainly it was an issue previously.

I'm almost there but ...
I have two different html scripts that behaves like slider but something's not right. I could really use somebody to lend a helping technical expertise. The thing that's giving me grief is found in this link.

Hello Leojin

I think it'll be difficult for anyone to analyse your code and seek for the error (I don't mind anyone to prove me wrong, though). Can I convince you to try an easy third-party slideshow provider? I've used slideful.com on this test site. It's easy to create a slideshow, you don't even have to sign up for an account. Once your slideshow is done, slideful.com provides you with an HTML code to embed into an HTML Code Widget on Yola, and it'll work just fine. Much less of a hassle if you ask me.

Another tip: If you have a longer batch of code, you should enclose your < code > tags by < pre > < / pre > tags (leaving out the blanks) in order to make the code legible best.

Hi Stefan, thanks for your suggestions. I think I should just do that ... although a part of me (the hard headed ego) still hoping to make this thing work though. lol.

Thanks again!

If you'd like to go for more advanced sildeshow providers, one of our team has made a good experience with comslider.com. It's a tool suitable for more sophisticated and advanced needs. You can view an example on a real Yola website here: Indaba Counselling.
