One of our websites cannot be accessed on a smartphone despite the 'mobile' option;

Reads as a connection problem: 'the page contains too many server redirects...'

Please advise, thanks.

Hi Andrew

What is the name of your domain? We'll have a look to see why it's not accessible on mobile devices.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

I was able to view your website on my iPhone (screenshot below) but it's not yet optimized for mobile browsing as you haven't set up Mobile Publishing yet. If you want to ensure your website is optimized for the web, click "enable" under Site>Publishing>Mobile.

It certainly happens that sites in different regions can have different visibility but usually this is for short periods. When it happens it's generally to do with the web-infrastructure down-line and not with the host.

I saw your site yesterday on desktop and it was giving the redirect error but as you intimated this wasn't the same. Your observation being limited to the mobile version? The fact that I can view it on the phone indicates it is going out of Yola's hosting as intended.

Yola were caught up in a denial of service downstream on Thursday which hadn't affected my ability to see sites or their apparent speed but others were reporting the issue. I have no idea if there have been intermediaries knocked out because of this but possibly something that may be contributing.

Yola CS work on a skeleton service on the weekend so it generally takes until the Monday for them to be able to give individual issues like this their full resources.

Hello Andrew

There is currently an error that we're busy fixing. There is a technical workaround which I did for you. Can you please clear the cache on your smartphone and try to load your site again? It's working on my end. Let me know if you still have problems.
