This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Yola is experiencing some technical difficulties

I cannot see some of the images I have loaded onto My Yola in "My files ~ All_Designs_images" This is something new, as I used to be able to see them.

I have tried to used some of them on four separate pages as 'picture gallery' images, but they don't load, neither in "preview" or on my public site.

This is one of the web pages with a 'picture gallery' image that isn't showing http://www.xtolz.com/if-youve-got-tim...

However, if I load the same images onto a page using either the picture or text widgets, I can then see them.

Help!

Hello TerryX,

When I look at your image file URL, it does not seem to be a jpg file? This is the file name: If you.htm

Please be sure to use .jpg or .png files. Can you try converting this to a .jpg and then re-add it?

I hope that might resolve the issue.

Hi Sanja, Thanks for your response.

I checked my computer files, and all of the problem images in "My Yola" were saved and loaded to Yola as .png files

I will try them as .jpg and let you know the outcome.

I have just loaded them as .jpg - still can't see them.

BUT, it has just occurred to me that all the file names have an apostrophe...I will try loaded them without that - worth a try :)

That was it! I removed the apostrophes and they're working fine.

While I've got your attention, is there anyway I can deleted my unwanted images?

Hi Terry,

So glad you were able to resolve the issue.

Are you wanting to remove the images from your File Manager? If so, you can definitely do this. Please look at this tutorial and go to Step 7.

If you're wanting to delete from the Picture Gallery Widget, you can click on "Edit" and then navigate to the image you wanted deleted and click on the "Trashcan" icon.

Thanks Sanja, sorry...I meant from my File Manager. I checked out step 7 and that is what I used to be able to do, up until perhaps a month or two ago, but now if I right click on an image that I want to delete nothing at all happens. No pop-up, nothing. :{

Hi TerryX,

Hmm.. can you let me know what browser you are using? I'd like to see if I can replicate this on our end. Thanks!

Thanks TerryX,

I'll investigate this on my side. In the meantime, are you able to use a different browser to see if that makes any difference?

Hi TerryX,

Thanks for your patience. I have checked in your Sitebuilder using Google Chrome and am able to see the options to delete. I've attached a screenshot of this.

Since you're not able to see this, I'm wondering if you might have some kind of security settings that is preventing you from seeing this. Can you try disabling your pop-up blocker, ad-blocker, firewall, spam blocker,etc..

Could you also try on a friend's computer to help determine if the issue is local to your computer?

Good idea...I've now checked this on a different computer, but it still doesn't work. Also, tried turning off firewall, no difference. As I haven't changed anything with spam blocker etc. I don't think it's relevant because I did used to be able to delete.

Hi Terry,

Can you pleases hare the version of Google Chrome you are using? I too was able to see the option to delete a file in your File Manager whilst using Google Chrome, version 15.

Hi Brianna, thanks for your help. I tried updating Chrome, hoping that would be the fix, but no change - My version is 15.0.0874.120 m

Hello TerryX,

Thanks for that information. I also have that version of Chrome. I'm at a loss at to why this might be occurring. The only other possibility might be add-ons on your browser. You may also want to check your browser settings to see if there might be something checked off that could explain this further.

Have you been able to try using a different browser?

Hi Sanja,

No, still can't use any of the three browsers that I have tried.

BTW when I'm looking at my uploaded images I can click the "edit with picnik" and the "preview" and both pop-ups work.

I can't see anything in my browsers settings that would cause this to happen.

Hi TerryX,

We very much appreciate your cooperation as we work through troubleshooting suggestions with you. Unfortunately we haven't gotten as much accomplished as we had hoped to.

The troubles that we are having is replicating this error. This makes it extremely difficult for us to troubleshoot.

One of the last ideas I can come up with is for you to test this using a different computer on a different network. Please do your best to try this and let us know what you are seeing. Thanks!

Hi Brianna,

I have finally been able to try a different network. Unfortunately, the problem showed up in exactly the same manner.

Do you think the problem would show up for you if I gave you my password and you logged in as me, instead of you?

Hello TerryX,

I'm sorry that we missed following up with you. Are you still having this trouble? Have you been able to try a different computer altogether?

Hello TerryX,

This is very strange. I truly am at a loss of why this might be happening as we are not able to replicate this in your site. Is there a file I can delete for you?

There are a whole load of files that need deleting, too many to mention really. So, logging in with my password wouldn't make any difference to what you see?

Hello TerryX,

Unfortunately.. it wouldn't make a difference. I'm sorry. If you wish, you can email support@yola.com, ATTN: Sanja with the list of files that you wish to have deleted and I can try to do this for you.
