The error message is:
“Error: Merchant (design) identification error. Required information is incorrect. Please correct field below n try again.“

All I know is that they were at checkout, they tried several times and they kept getting that message. What can I do to fix this?

Hello Emmanuel

I'm sorry for the late reply. Can you please post your URL? I'd like to check if I can replicate the error you're reporting. Could you also give me a little more detail? At which stage of checkout did this error messsage orccur?

Hello Emmanuel

I can confirm the error your customers get. The error message refers to your merchant ID, so this must have something to do with the Payment Gateway you set up. I chose PayPal as a payment method when I tried to purchase an item, and it looks like you will need to do som edits in your PayPal account. There is an answer on the Support Forum of our Online Store partner Ecwid, please see if that solves your problem: PayPal PayFlow Link Merchant Design Identification Error.
