Hello there,

I created a website and there is a page with password protection that I added.
The page that I added password protect is a blog page.

Apparently, everytime a post is clicked, it ask again for username and password. Click on another post, it ask for it again... It can be annoying. Can the password protect be only for the page and not per post click in the blog widget?

cause entering password 10 times and username 10 times its not a fun process for viewers... and the worst thing is that it's on the same page!
Please help :(

Hi WowKid,

The reason this is happening is because you have cookies disabled. Simply enable cookies and you won't have this issue.

Let me know if you continue to have problems with this.

.... enable cookies? whats that...
So basically it is to do with the setting on my computer, and if a reader visits the page and input their username and password, will they need to allow this cookie setting?

sorry, im not too great with the technical stuff...

I should have been clearer in my answer to you, sorry! Basically cookies need to be enabled so that the browser can store any important information you have entered, for example the login details to the password protected page. If cookies are disabled, the browser can't remember this info and you are requested to enter it again.

Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.

If anything is unclear please let us know.

Thank you for the link. The instruction is very simple to follow, but I did everything and it seems that the username and password screen is still being prompt up.

I went through the process few times, but the same thing occur. I've also tried doing a disk cleanup and cleaned out the temp internet files on the computer and re-did the instruction, but its still asking me to re-log into a protected page everything I click on a different title in the blog.

Would it be another issue? :(

I have tested this out myself and the only time I am prompted to enter the username and password on each blog post is when I have cookies disabled.

Can you tell me which browser you are using?

I am having the same issue but instead of a blog page every time I click a link to a new page from my index page it re-asks for credentials. I have verified cookies are on, and it only affects random computers for random periods of time.
