Spacing and column capacity

I recently stumbled on the Yola site: http://www.rsvppaperco.com/partyinvit...

I am aware that columns can be divided and subdivided - was this neat, hyper-linkable layout and spacing of the images as per above link achieved by simply dividing into six columns? When I do this the spacing is never as astute. Is there something I am missing?

Thanks!

PS: and how do I add the FB/Twitter/Pinterest widget at the bottom to my site?

Hello Olvar,

If you're referring to the gallery of pictures on the homepage, that particular website owner used custom coding to create this gallery.

We offer a few different social media widgets for you to enjoy, such as FB and Twitter. I've attached a screenshot of where you can find this.

If you'd like to add Pinterest to your site, you can do this through using the HTML Widget. Here are steps to add a Pinterest "Pin it" button to your website:
Go to this page and set up your embed code: http://pinterest.com/about/goodies.

  1. Copy the code provided.

  2. Drag and drop the HTML Code Widget onto your page.

  3. Paste the code into the HTML Editor.

  4. Click "Save".

Your "Pin It" button will be displayed on your site.

I hope this information is helpful.

Hi Sanja

Thank you. Is it possible to learn the piece of custom coding that was used so I can apply it to my CSS platform?

I did notice these FB, twitter, etc widgets but when they appear on my site they do not look like the others - here is another example: http://www.capetownopera.co.za/ - was wondering how to get them to look like that instead - perhaps more custom coding?

Hi Olvar

The picture gallery you're referring to wasn't created using CSS, but with the third-party provider Visual Lightbox. After having created their gallery, the user was apparently provided with some HTML code to add to their website. You could try to create a similar gallery and embed it into your Yola website.

If you'd like to use customized Social Media buttons, the easiest way to achieve this is to get the icons as image files and link them to your Social Media profiles. This website findicons.com offers a range of free Social Media icons to use for your website commercially and non-commercially. Download the desired icon to your computer and upload it to Yola. Then add it to your site by using the Picture Widget and link it to your Social Media page.

Hello Olvar,

Stefan has provided you with the link to the Visual Lightbox site, where you can grab the code. Please note that we are unable to assist with the implementation of this code.

You can certainly add a Twitter feed onto your page. Again, this will require HTML coding. This link may be helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Oq5AY...

Thank you, I understand.

Sanja, in terms of payment gateways for online shopping - if I am in South Africa and want to incorporate a credit card payment option on my site for online shoppers how would I go about this - is it an add-on once I acquire the online shopping widget? I have looked through the forums but am overwhelmed and may have missed the solution. Perhaps you can direct me there - or I can start a new thread if necessary.
